Our Story
Behind Ridgeway Gundogs is Georgia Spratling
Georgia has a true passion for and innate skill in developing and training working dogs. She has a natural rapport with dogs, which brings them under her spell and eager to please.
From a very young age, Georgia has been working with her own gundogs and is highly experienced in training Spaniels and Labradors, whatever their temperament.
A passionate countrywoman, Georgia works closely with owners and their dogs so they achieve their goals, whether that’s to improve obedience, to become a skilled gundog, or to compete and succeed in field trials.
Georgia has three Working Cocker Spaniels, who are used for our breeding programme: Alfie, Minnie, and Maple.
Working cocker spaniels
Alfie
Alfie is a Working Cocker Spaniel known for his outstanding temperament. A loyal and loving companion, Alfie is a proven stud dog and has produced some lovely litters.
Alfie is an all-rounder, and his main love is beating and picking up. He has worked on the Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire, as well as Cold Aston Estate in Gloucestershire.
Alfie is an intelligent, quick learner, eager to please with a friendly demeanour. Whether you need a loyal family pet or a working companion, Alfie’s offspring are sure to fit the bill, as Alfie himself transitions effortlessly between the two roles.
Minnie
Minnie is a much-loved member of the Ridgeway Gundogs family and is expected to produce her first litter of puppies during 2024/2025.
As with all our dogs, she has excellent breeding and has been selected for her temperament and all-round ability.
Maple
Maple is the latest addition to Ridgeway Gundogs family. She’s a very responsive, intelligent puppy and doing exceptionally well in her training.
We are very much looking forward to Maple’s first litter.
